1998-99

  • Organizational meeting held September 19, 1998.
  • Established breakfast meeting whose average attendance over three months was 60.
  • Published a charter membership directory representing 57 businesses.
  • CPBA Newsletter circulation exceeds 350.
  • Provided start-up capital for one business.
  • Assisted in formation of a concrete block manufacturing company in Honduras, C.A.
  • Held 1st Annual "Land of Zion" Workshop--attracting 18 display booths and registering over 150 paid participants.
  • Covenant Seminar held in April 1999--hosting 60 participants.
  • Established the CPBA Scholarship Fund with 14 recipients--from the Center Place Restoration School, Oak Valley Restoration School, and the Hope Restoration School--granting a total of ,500.
  • 15 take membership pledge on May 15, 1999..

1999-2000

  • Assisted in the establishment of 6 new businesses.
  • Approved CPBA By-laws, October 18, 1999.
  • Non-for-profit legal standing gained.
  • 2nd Annual "Land of Zion" Workshop, February 19, 2000.
  • Scholarship fund raised to ,000.
  • Center for Business Assistance established in store front on 23rd Street.
  • Christian Investor Network created.
  • First Christian Business Report published.
  • 2nd Christian Values Seminar held.
  • New Enterprise Forum held.
  • College student internship program inaugurated.
  • Christian Business Audit program was implemented.
  • Web site created on bizhosting.com.
